Welcome to Creative Suga Design Studio—where creativity, strategy, and a little sweetness come together to help bring your vision to life.

Creative Suga began in 2015 as a small creative outlet founded by Shanay Butler while balancing a full-time career and motherhood. What started with invitations, flyers, and personalized projects steadily grew into something much bigger as her skills developed, client relationships grew, and the needs of the business evolved. Over the years, Creative Suga expanded beyond personal projects into graphic design, branding, marketing, digital design, website design, virtual administrative support, business solutions, and one-on-one coaching. What began as a side hustle became a full-service creative studio built to support entrepreneurs, organizations, and growing businesses in more ways than one.

In 2024, the business entered a new chapter with the rebrand from Shay Lanae Designs to Creative Suga Design Studio. The new name reflected not only how much the business had grown, but also the direction it was headed—providing clients with both creative solutions and strategic support.

Today, Creative Suga is more than just a design studio. We aim to be your creative partner—helping you strengthen your brand, simplify your business, improve your visibility, and turn your ideas into thoughtful, polished solutions.

Hey there! I'm Shanay and I am the creative force behind Creative Suga Design Studio. Family is at the core of everything I do, and I dedicate myself to balancing my roles as a mom and a business owner with as much love and care as possible. I started my business 11 years ago and never looked back. I’m a coffee lover who thrives in organized chaos (it's my superpower), and I’ve honed my skills over the years—starting with a degree in Information Systems and later teaching myself graphic design.

Creating brings me immense joy, but what truly fuels my passion is building lasting relationships with my clients. There's something special about connecting with people and helping them bring their visions to life. I’m always a student in this world, as I believe there’s always something new to learn. Whether it's refining my craft or exploring new ideas, I'm constantly growing and evolving.
